Re: Account Number

I am grateful that your company is willing to help me settle my debt. I am sending you this letter to make a counter offer in response to the debt settlement offer presented by your company, which I received on [Insert Date] because I have several debt accounts to settle and unfortunately, a limited amount of funds.

The amount that I intend to settle the debt in full is [Insert Amount]. Kindly remove any late payments/charge-offs on this account from my credit report. I can only pay you if you are willing to meet my terms. If your company agrees to accept my proposal, please sign the attached letter and return a copy to me. Once I receive the signed acknowledged agreement from you, I shall send you the amount proposed by me via money order.

Sincerely,
